Clarence St Theatre

Clarence St Theatre is located in the centre of Hamilton and has the unique ability to transform from an outstanding  proscenium arch theatre (550) to a restaurant style theatre (260 + balcony 144 seats) to a standing concert venue (900).

It is ideally suited to drama, comedy, smaller dance recitals and corporate events and functions.  Montana Catering is our exclusive in house caterer and the bar is located off the side of the auditorium.   Ticketek is our exclusive ticketing agency.

Hamilton City Theatres is Hamilton City Council’s operational arm for three of the city’s best venues.  Under the Hamilton City Theatres brand, and a single management, each has distinctively different facilities and all three theatres are located within Hamilton’s CBD where accommodation, restaurants and bars are all within easy walking distance.
