The Bruce Mason Centre’s 1164 seat auditorium has a reputation for world-class acoustics and clear sightlines to the stage.  A wide range of shows from orchestral concerts and musicals, to comedians, ballet and children’s shows are regularly hosted at the Centre. Unique to the Centre is the ability to convert the auditorium to one of Auckland's largest flat floor banquet areas, capable of seating 500 guests for award dinners and gala functions.  

More than simply a performance venue, the Bruce Mason Centre has six fully equipped meeting rooms and two spacious foyers.  The conference area can cater for numerous events ranging from small board meetings to large corporate conferences, cocktail evenings and trade exhibitions. The Centre offers conferencing facilities for 6 to 1164 delegates in several size adjustable rooms.  Also offered by the Centre is a Professional Conference Organiser (PCO) service accredited by Conventions and Incentives New Zealand, as well as an experienced event management team, on-site caterers and in-house technical staff to assist with creative ideas and themes.  

The on-site Playwright Café proudly displays a selection of show posters and hosts the Bruce Mason memorabilia display featuring the famous playwright's original writing desk and typewriter.  Designed to be light and airy with an outdoor feel, in summer the windows open wide to make the most of the streetscape and sea views. Monthly Art exhibitions in the foyer by local artists add to the ambience, and car parking for 350 cars adjacent to the Centre makes it even easier to attend any event.
