    About the Role - This is a permanent part-time 30 hour per week role.

    The primary purpose of this job is to plan and undertake projects that

    enhance the vibrancy of the Hāwera business community and manage

    town beautification and business enhancement projects for Hāwera.

    The role will also support Council events and business marketing

    initiatives district wide.

    Do you have what it takes? - This is a busy role and if you want

    plenty of variety, this role has it from connecting with the business

    community ensuring that they are kept up to date on events that are

    planned, providing occasional support to the STDC Event Co-ordinator

    to plan Council run events in the district to identifying potential

    marketing opportunities to enhance Hāwera township and to attract a

    wide range of visitors and businesses. Producing marketing material for

    events and promoting these across multiple communication channels

    and supporting the Business Development Manager to administer and

    grow Shop South Taranaki - the digital business hub for the district's

    businesses is also a requirement of this role.

    About You - You are a talented team player with a Certificate in

    marketing, public relations, or events management who has a detailed

    understanding of all aspects of event management from planning

    through to logistics and implementation to an excellent standard. You

    will have a "can-do" attitude and your communications skills provide

    you with the ability to connect and engage with a wide variety of

    stakeholders building new relationships, and enabling you to engage

    with a range of key audiences. You have proven project management

    experience and enjoy taking on new challenges and drawing on your

    experience in organising and managing events to achieve successful

    outcomes.

    The salary range for this position is between $60,570pa and $67,300pa

    and the appointed starting level will be dependent on skills and

    experience and will be discussed during interviews with shortlisted

    candidates.
