    Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

    As NZICC prepares to open its doors, we are looking to fill a critical role reporting directly to the GM -

    NZICC.

    As the NZICC Security Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of security within

    the NZICC and lead our security operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety and security. 

    Your role will involve developing and implementing effective security strategies, leading a team of

    security personnel, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and safeguarding the property,

    assets, and individuals within the facility. You will play a key role in establishing a security and safety

    culture within the venue. We are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our

    guests, clients, employees and partners. 

     Develop, implement, monitor, and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols.

     Oversee day-to-day operations of the security department, including scheduling, training,

    and performance management.

     Manage the security department budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

     Monitor surveillance systems (CCTV), alarm systems, and security technology to detect and

    respond to incidents.

     Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including

    government agencies and security services.

     Conduct regular security training sessions on emergency procedures, conflict resolution, and

    regulatory compliance.

     Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including emergency plans for various

    scenarios.

     Coordinate security measures for large events, conferences, and conventions.

    Mōu | About You

     Proven experience managing large security teams in complex organizations (approximately

    10+ years).

     Experience in investigative, emergency response planning and implementation.

     Knowledge of security technologies and best practices.

     Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.

     Experience working with government agencies and security enforcement communities.

     Leadership experience in creating and implementing a business vision.

     Experience building inclusive team cultures with a diverse workforce.

     Preferred: Tertiary qualifications in security, pre-opening experience of a large-scale venue,

    first aid certificate, and technical competence in all aspects of security.
