    Bay Venues …. Haven’t heard of us? Not to worry; I bet you have heard of some of the venues we own or operate – the iconic Mount Hot Pools, Baywave, or Mercury Baypark to name a few. As the kaitiaki of 25 facilities in Tauranga Moana, we proudly offer a range of activities and experiences intended to put a smile on the dial of our community.

    About the Role:
    We’re on the lookout for a dynamic and proactive Event Sales Executive to join our team based at Mercury Baypark. You’ll be instrumental in driving event bookings across our network by identifying new opportunities and building strong relationships both locally and nationally.

    Your key responsibilities will include:

    • Attracting and securing a variety of events

    • Managing the full sales process from enquiry to contract

    • Developing proposals, negotiating terms and maintaining accurate records

    • Representing Bay Venues at industry events both locally and nationally

    • Supporting marketing initiatives to promote our facilities and services

    About You:
    You’re a natural relationship builder who thrives in a sales environment and loves the buzz of the events industry. You’ll bring:

    • 2–3 years’ experience in events, sales, hospitality or tourism

    • Proven ability to generate and convert leads into business

    • Strong organisational and communication skills

    • A positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn

    • Proficiency with booking systems and Microsoft Office (experience with Momentus a bonus)
